Cinema is a Possibility!

Edge Films is a film production company based in Mexico City, dedicated to telling bold, original stories with distinct narrative voices, tone and innovative visual language. We champion emerging and established filmmakers who are redefining the boundaries of Latin American cinema.

Since our founding in 2017, we have built a diverse slate that pairs artistic ambition with global reach. In 2020 we premiered Modo Avião, Netflix's first original Brazilian feature film and a milestone in international streaming. Our films have since found a strong presence on the festival circuit. Santiago Mohar Volkow directed Good Savage (Tallinn Black Nights, 2023) and A History of Love and War (International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2024), and Ricardo Castro's The Perfect Club won the Audience Award at the 2024 Austin Film Festival.

2025 was our biggest year yet. Four of our features were released theatrically across Mexico with major distributors:

• Good Savage (Buen Salvaje) with Corazón Films, July 17

• The Perfect Club (El Club Perfecto) with Cinemex, August 28

• A History of Love and War (Una Película de Amor y Guerra) with Videocine, October 2

• Don't Follow Me (No Me Sigas) with Cinépolis Distribución, October 31

Don't Follow Me is a horror thriller directed by Ximena and Eduardo Lecuona. It is the first Spanish-language film produced under the Blumhouse banner.

In 2026, The Wig (La Peluca), directed by Emiliano Rocha Minter, was selected for BAFICI and is continuing its festival run. We are currently in post-production on Africa Express, a documentary by Emilio Guerrero Alexander, and The Surrogate, directed by Ali Jaberansari.
